The design competition required the enhancement of an area facing Lake Ohrida, of remarkable environmental value. The design examined various themes: environmental, urban, architectural and conservation. The waterfront design, along with the restyling and completion of existing buildings, played a major role, with particular attention given to the compatibility with existing structures.
